Bloodroot is a perennial flowering woodland plant native to eastern North America. This plant gets its name from the deep red sap that exudes from a fresh wound to the rhizome.

Not to be used during pregnancy. May cause nausea and vomiting. Do not exceed recommended dosage.

To use as a tea, pour 1 cup boiling water over 1/2 tsp. of herb, cover and steep 3-5 minutes.
